Home connections are where client data leaks and malware get in
On the call-centre floor your firewall watches the network. At home, agents work on shared fibre or LTE routers alongside family devices, personal browsing and unpatched PCs. ZDNS protects work-from-home agents with the same blocking, alerts and weekly reports as the office. Remote seats are bought as part of your call centre's seats: the same R50 a seat a month (from 25 seats), on the same dashboard.
Fake bank & courier links on home PCs
Between calls, an agent's home PC opens a personal email or WhatsApp link for a fake courier redelivery fee or banking alert. ZDNS blocks sites on Google's list of suspected phishing and malware sites before the page loads.
Card & SA ID numbers leaving a laptop
If an infostealer or rogue browser extension on a remote laptop tries to smuggle a 16-digit card number or 13-digit SA ID number out through DNS, ZDNS verifies the checksum and blocks the lookup.
Part of your call centre's seats
Remote seats are not a separate product. They are counted in your call centre's seats at the same R50 a seat a month (from 25 seats), and show up on the same dashboard, alerts and weekly reports.
How it plays out
A 40-seat hybrid collections and sales campaign. Illustrative, not a real customer.
- 1
A remote agent working from home clicks a fake courier delivery link on the same laptop used for dialler calls, installing a quiet data stealer.
- 2
During the next shift, the malware tries to send a customer's card number and SA ID number out inside DNS lookups from the agent's laptop.
- 3
ZDNS spots the valid card and SA ID check digits and answers "does not exist", stopping the leak before it reaches the attacker.
- 4
The block appears on your campaign dashboard alongside your office floor alerts, identifying which remote seat triggered it.

Long numbers are masked to their last 4 digits before anything is stored.
Good to know
ZDNS checks every lookup for card numbers, SA ID numbers and customer mobile numbers, plus scrambled codes that malware uses to smuggle data. Here is what to expect.
Personal device protection is available
Each remote agent's phone or laptop gets its own private address from your dashboard, so protection follows them on home Wi-Fi and mobile data. The setup guide is at zdns.co.za/setup.
Voice and dialler untouched
Just like on the office floor, ZDNS only checks DNS lookups. WebRTC softphones, SIP traffic and CRM sessions never pass through it.
Nothing is blocked in week one
Every customer starts in shadow mode for about a week, sees what would be blocked, and whitelists anything they rely on before blocking starts.
Keep the card and ID numbers on your remote agents' laptops where they belong
R50 a seat a month, from 25 seats. One router setting. Protected in shadow mode from day one.
